You here the word superfood get thrown around a lot today. You here it most when people refer to nutrition products. So the question is what does it mean and how does it effect people who eat or drink these superfoods? There is no hard and fast definition for what qualifies a food as a superfood but there is some general rules of thumb that have to be met before a food is considered for this title. A lot of foods are very high in one certain area but lack in others. Superfoods have to be high and rich in many nutritional areas not just one. They also have to this way with out any doctoring or extra things being added to boost nutritional levels. Many other things go into considering a food for superfood status. Some of which we will talk about in later posts.
