What is Noni?

Noni, a fruit that just a little while ago was something people may have ignored is now on a lot of people’s minds, especially if they are in need of treatment for something. Noni, a fruit that grows natively in Southeast Asia but thanks to man’s doing has started to grow in a lot more areas globally, is a fruit that has become popular with researchers as of late. The reason for this being that the fruit is thought to have quite a bit of healing properties, some of which have been proven to be true, and others that are still being investigated. Noni has been used for thousands of years to treat things such as stomach ache, fever, headaches, and sinus.

Mangosteen Fruit

The mangosteen is another fruit that has been said to have medicinal purposes. The fruit is said to have properties that can help with issues such as diarrhea, bladder infections, and gonorrhea. It is even said an ointment was created from the fruit that could be applied to skin rashes and decrease their severity. There has been hot debate over whether or not such folklore has any real evidence and while there has not been any displayed as of yet there has not been any to say that the sayings are false either.

Acai Juice Named Number One Superfood By Oprah

On her show Oprah Winfrey has named Acai Juice as the number one superfood on the market. The reasons for this is because acai is very high in antioxidants which have been said to help the body with many things. This berry comes from the amazon rain forest so finding the fresh berry is hard to do in the US. The two most common forms of acai is powder and juice.

    Different ways for herbs to get in to the body:

  • Liquid Extract
  • Tincture: (traditionally 14x stronger than an extract not always true because sometimes the terms are used interchangeably)
  • Poultice: (semi-liquid applied directly to skin drawing)
  • properties: great for breaks, burns, pain, inflammation, bites, stings, to draw out toxins, etc.
  • Bolus: a suppository used for insertion into anus or vagina
  • Tea
  • Infusion: like a tea (rather than steep, pour boiling water over herb in a strainer)
  • Enema: a water solution (use only purified water) with an herb, liquid Extracts, garlic, essential oils, etc.
  • Baths
